What this test checks

• Whether the browser reports touch capability
• Whether touch and drag events reach the page
• Current and maximum simultaneous touches observed
• Approximate coverage of the interactive test area
• Visible response near edges and corners

How this test works

1. Open this page on a phone, tablet or touchscreen computer and start the full-screen touch test.
2. Drag one finger slowly across the whole screen, including edges and corners.
3. Try two or more fingers to check multi-touch response.
4. If the browser cannot enter true full-screen mode, only the browser viewport not covered by browser or system UI can be tested.

If the test does not behave as expected

• If no touch is detected, confirm the device actually has a touchscreen and try the current system browser.
• If scrolling happens instead of drawing, start your gesture inside the dedicated test area.
• If one area appears unresponsive, repeat the same path slowly before concluding there is a hardware problem.
• A browser can show where touch events are received, but it cannot prove the physical cause of a missed touch.

Note: Coverage shows where this test received touch events. It is not an automatic hardware diagnosis and cannot certify that every physical sensor is healthy.
